The online Baird Scholarship application can be found in Scholarship Universe.
The application requires:
- 2 Letters of Recommendation (from a Teacher, Counselor, or Community member who is not family or friend)
- Official High School Transcript
- Resumé
- Two short (500 word max) essay responses
Applicants must:
- Be admitted to the University of Arizona for Fall 2020
- Be Arizona residents who have attended an Arizona high school for at least two years preceding admission to the University or Arizona
- Be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident
- Have a cumulative unweighted high school GPA of 3.75 or higher
Important dates:
- End of September, 2019 - application open, DEADLINE IS NOVEMBER 3, 2019
- A University of Arizona committee selects approximately 20 finalists for the scholarship
ASU Barrett, Honors College
For an application to be evaluated, it must be complete by the articulated deadline, not simply submitted. Incomplete files are remanded to the next pool for review.

Academically high-achieving, intellectually curious, and well-rounded students interested in getting the most out of their Arizona State University experience are encouraged to explore Barrett admission. There is no minimum requirement, but the average GPA is 3.6.

NAU Honors College

All student applicants to the Honors College for Spring 2020 and beyond must:
- be admitted to NAU
- have an NAU user ID and password
- have a HS Core GPA of 3.0 or higher (unweighted)
- submit the following:
- online Honors Application (link at bottom of page)
- two Honors admissions essays
- resume or list of activities and accomplishments
Please have your essay and resume ready to submit before clicking the application link below. Documents are accepted in .doc, .docx, and .pdf formats only.
A confirmation email will be sent to the NAU email included in the online application, and all future correspondence from Honors is directed to that email.
There is no deadline to apply to Honors, but we strongly encourage you be admitted to Honors prior to February 1 if you would like to live on campus and in the Honors Residential College (RC) (this date allows you to ensure room placement in the Honors College); and April 1 is our priority date to ensure enrollment in our first year Honors seminar. Admission to Honors will continue through the Summer on a space available basis.
